The current Wyandotte County District Attorney is Mark DuPree. The challenger is Kristiane Bryant. By all indications she is a Jackson County Prosecutor. Jackson County is in Missouri, which is formerly a confederate state all-the-while presently energizing confederate treasonous misgivings.
The Kansas City Star has endorsed Kristiane Bryant, but has failed to keep a resounding voice on charging former detective Roger Golubski. The Star seems to be in step with the KCKPD which had former Police Chief Terry Zeigler resign behind corruption implications. Indeed, law enforcement is not happy with DuPree swearing to make him a one term DA. To further annoy those wanting DuPree out, he charged a Wyandotte County sheriff deputy Mike Mastel with rape, sodomy, and sexual exploitation of a child.
The Kansas City Star endorsement of Kristiane Bryant speaks volumes about their mindset, credibility, and output of impartial reporting. The good ole boy network of which many still clamor, continue to sanction actions conceptually opposed to the promotion of a contemporary society with ageless principles.
With Funding Secured, Conviction Integrity Unit Coming To Wyandotte County. Source: KCUR August 2018
The Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas, approved $162,000 of funding for a conviction integrity unit, $155,000 of which will go toward the salaries of the unit’s three staff members.
The unit will be responsible for investigating alleged wrongful conviction cases, a task which previously fell on the district attorney’s desk.
KCKS Biased Political Agendas… Again
“Typically, we’ve given these cases to assistant district attorneys, who are already working on other cases. Then those cases are put on the back burner, and it takes years at a time for these to be solved,” Wyandotte County District Attorney Mark Dupree said.
With a dedicated unit, Dupree said he will be able to make sure cases are properly vetted at the outset and then properly investigated.
“When you have the wrong person in custody, the right person, who committed the crime, is still committing harm in our community,” Dupree said.
Additionally, Dupree announced Friday that going forward, the Kansas Bureau of Investigations will be brought on to investigate incidents in which a police officer kills a civilian or suspect. Should the district attorney’s office come under any accusation, Dupree said another agency will prosecute.
Vote your interest August 4th. Biased Kansas City big media is just that, biased. Vote Mark DuPree back in office and keep KCKS a progressive city with checks and balances that don’t bow to tainted influences that have a history of abuse and one-sided justice.
