Four cops involved in George Floyd death invoke Fifth Amendment right. Now tell America how that works that you plead the fifth to murder in an attempt to circumventing justice. Pleading the fifth is an admission of guilt unto itself. The double standard apparatus is in full motion again. When is the last time you heard of accomplice to a murder, plead the fifth as a successful strategy.
Officers Derek Chauvin, Thomas Lane, Tou Thao and J. Alexander Kueng have refused to answer questions about what led to Floyd’s death, citing their right to avoid self-incrimination, according to Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman following a news conference Thursday.
Justice Must Prevail
But while Freeman condemned the now-fired officers’ actions as “graphic and horrific and terrible,” he said the footage alone isn’t enough to bring charges.
He vowed to conduct an investigation “as expeditiously” and “thoroughly as justice demands,” adding that he’s reviewing the case of Freddie Gray for guidance. Gray, a 25-year-old black man, was killed while in police custody in Baltimore in 2015.
For reference, Attorney General of Minnesota: Keith Ellison. That may very well be the next step in the beckon for justice. Also know if Ellison is sought for justice, Trump will ask William Barr to attempt to over ride states rights to Trump Ellison. More On Ellison
