Remember when you were taught to use common sense? Is common sense a lost human attribute or is another synonymous word or phrase used for the same descriptive?
For the sake of clarity, common sense is your natural ability to make good judgments and to behave in a practical and sensible way.
When factoring information coming out about COVID 19 virus other than hygiene and quarantine imperatives, use some common sense in all your decisions regarding everything. Why? Because the experts don’t have many answers at this point.
I am speculating China had been getting some indications something was happening, but with such a large population I am sure anomalies are always challenging China to some degree. This particular strain was notable because of the number of people rapidly infected with deadly results.
China is a communist republic and has a tight grip over 1.428 billion people. We must also factor although the China has not always been a communist country, their history ranges to the (2200 BC) Xia dynasty formed in China. They are set in their ways by thousands of years. That is a timeline fact only rivaled by the continent of Africa.
China wants to be the global leader in every aspect of global consumerism. Therein lies a cascading problem. The United States relies on China cheap labor on a wide array of products, thus COVID 19 virus has quickly disrupted most product sectors in the U.S. and abroad.
For example, hair care products made in China and distributed by their first cousin Koreans for distribution and re-distribution has come to a halt. Since most hair care products require human interaction in the production process, there are questions of contamination. This is where some common sense may intervene.
Industry response says there is little to no possibility of contamination, while the medical experts don’t know, because of the abrupt revelation of the virus. They don’t like to say it, but little is known about COVID19 other than it can kill with a short prognosis. As your parents might say, you can’t be too careful.
This has to be a wake up call to American industry. Everything cannot be sourced out to a foreign country to attain a lower pricing structure. More essentials will have to be produced here in America. Made in America must be on more of our products for reasons other than cheap labor abroad.
Don’t panic. Be mindful of what you do, how you do, and where you do it. Use your common sense and assist your love ones in developing common sense. We will make it through this challenge also.
